I have sacrificed so very much of myself to pursue this dream that I’m starting to get to a place where I am agitated when some1 else doesn’t grasp the magnitude of this investment.  It’s like really ur a model? With all of those stretch marks and awful poses and ridiculous blue eye shadow? I mean how do u expect me to feel when I’m busting my butt trying to cover hereditary dark circles under my eyes and u don’t even care enough to put forth enough effort to shave properly or take that electric blue eye shadow off O_o.. But because some perv. with a camera is taking ya picture ur butt naked in an avi picture saying I ‘model’ *stop it  Do u know how long I’ve been modeling and how many auditions I’ve been on. How much rejection you face daily in this business, how hard it is to know you’re the ‘token’ black model when u walk in an audition where NO other black models even speak to you because they know it’s ONE spot for a black model. ohhh and Don’t get me started on the ...

Last year I was Blessed to book a role in this web series Almost Famous . I fell in love with my character and was so excited to audition for the part. Once in the audition I knew the team would be amazing and they ALL truly were. From this web series I've shot skits, created my reel and truly gained a family here on the west coast. If I had to title 2011 it would be The Year of Positioning and Preparation Last years final blog entry I used a basketball analogy to convey my point. I celebrated my 1yr 'Dreamaversary' this past August and I blogged that I would do something BIG to commemorate it.. I knew what I wanted to do but I hadn't done it until this past Sunday... Guess What I did!!!!  I got a tattoo (whispering, don't tell my agents)  I found out an old friend of mine is one of the biggest Tattoo artist in Bmore so on my Thanksgiving trip I got Tatted by Mike Raggs!!  Most of you know I left my job 15mths ago to pursue Acting and Modeling full time and I can honestly say my life is truly a testimony of the immense power of FAITH. I've been asked several times How? Well, my answer is always a resounding "you must have FAITH". When your seeking God and his purpose for your life, your life no longer makes sense.. So awhile back I auditioned for an organic hair straightening system.. I had an amazing experience in the audition. The session runner had the best personality and really made it an enjoyable audition.. Well, I booked it and learned that the "session runner" was actually the Director.. Lucky me, as he also ran his shoot dates just as he had run his audition process. I shot twice with this team and it truly was one of the most enjoyable on set experiences I've had in this industry.. Ohh and not to mention the product actually really works.. Straight hair with no perm #winning lol..   I truly get excited when I realize a loved one is entering a new phase.. It’s as if In the middle of a telephone rant I realize the struggle they are in is because God has “changed them”.. sorry sweetie but where you’ve been the last year or so is no longer enough.. so he’s making you uncomfortable. It’s truly amazing that when we find ourselves in a struggle we don’t fully commit to seeking an understanding deeper than the surface, we just want the pain to stop. Therefore the easiest way to “stop” the pain is to seek comfort in what you’ve already known yet for some reason there isn’t any comfort in the familiar. So you find yourself in those internal struggles.. u know the ones with the relationship that died b4 it even started. The guy that has potential but you just aren’t excited about investing in who he clearly isn’t ready to become. The moment when you realize that what someone else is offering, just isn’t enough..
