Hey Guys,    I wanted to share another actor milestone with you. Taping this show was a full circle moment for me. I'd read this script during a time when I wasn't working, It was so slow for me that I was 'creating' work for myself. I was reading scripts, I was getting on camera daily, I was sowing seeds that only God knew I was sowing and a little over a year later, this was a moment of harvest. I auditioned for the first time for this casting office and for this show, that I'd loved before it ever had a cast attached to it, and I booked and had an opportunity to tell an incredible team of actors how proud and inspired I am by their work. This was humbling, exciting and so perfectly aligned in God.    I pray I inspire someone into their purpose. I pray someone will read my words and say she is on assignment. I pray I never give a false perception of this business.  I pray I have an opportunity to use my platform for a purpose. I pray my work make...

Hey Guys,   It's been awhile since I've shared a great headshot promo with you and this one comes in good timing.  As the year comes to a close, it's a great time to refresh some of your favorite shots, to get a new look that you may be missing and also to give your team some new ammunition.  Those are the exact reasons I decided to get a headshot shoot in and I'm so extremely pleased with my decision to shoot with www.photosbyjamaal.com  First off- Look at this headshot! Secondly- You can't fathom the professionalism that this team offers. I'm NOT easily impressed. I'm very organized and I pride myself on effective communication and efficiently using my time. This photos by Jamaal team, left me speechless.  PROS:  Prior to arrival I received an email and convo about my looks, intentions for the shoot and what to bring and/or expect day of shooting.  Upon arriving the full team was present, had already been briefed on our goals fo...

Hey Guys,     I was tempted to make a video about my ' 6th year DREAM-aversary' but I decided to write. I've been writing less for my personal blog as of late but there was a time when blogging was an outlet I desperately needed; Blogging was therapy. In case you aren't familiar with my post, my name is NIKIVA DIONNE and I 'anniversarize' EVERYTHING, lol. But this one in particular is more than special. Biblically the number 8 signifies NEW BEGINNINGS and in perfect God fashion on 8/8/10 God called me into my NEW BEGINNING. I left my career and followed my purpose. I couldn't believe that all my life that small whisper was God calling me into my purpose. I had no idea, thank God He loved me through my ignorance and waited on me. However as scripture states in John 4:17   Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.    Once I KNEW, I obeyed.     There were things that made me 'usable to God'. I'd had a job sin...

Hey Guys,    I haven't been great at blogging lately. I've actually been blogging for a christian blog and I didn't realize it would drastically effect my presence on my personal blog. However, it's a ministry and I will remain obedient but I will also become more discipline at posting here!! With my apologies out of the way this entry is to say THANK YOU for your support and to ask for your support as well.    So imagine I was in a film and you were going to the movies to buy a $12.00 ticket so you could support the film. But, I'm actually not in a movie in fact I'm in a really cool webseries that you can watch NOW on Issa Rae's You Tube channel called 'Get Your Life'. If you really love me you've already seen it and if you enjoyed season one, you will be SOOO PUMPED at the opportunity to be apart of the making of SEASON 2 by DONATING!!!
