 Hey guys, Happy Monday!! So Pilot season 2017 is over.  As a newer actress, pilot season isn't 'for me' just yet. What I mean by that is, I use pilot season as a time to identify the appetite of the industry along with assessing my immediate and long term goals.  I decided to shoot with the super talented Photos by Jamaal again.  My team weren't requesting shots but I noticed a void in my tools and asked Jamaal to capture some very specific looks for me. Below are just a couple! These shots make me so happy because they are soooo KIVA. Jamaal is so easy to shoot with, so detailed oriented that I could relax and not worry that he understood my vision yet he is so laid back that he makes the environment so easy to let go and create. Hey Guys,    I wanted to share another actor milestone with you. Taping this show was a full circle moment for me. I'd read this script during a time when I wasn't working, It was so slow for me that I was 'creating' work for myself. I was reading scripts, I was getting on camera daily, I was sowing seeds that only God knew I was sowing and a little over a year later, this was a moment of harvest. I auditioned for the first time for this casting office and for this show, that I'd loved before it ever had a cast attached to it, and I booked and had an opportunity to tell an incredible team of actors how proud and inspired I am by their work. This was humbling, exciting and so perfectly aligned in God.    I pray I inspire someone into their purpose. I pray someone will read my words and say she is on assignment. Hey Guys,     I was tempted to make a video about my ' 6th year DREAM-aversary' but I decided to write. I've been writing less for my personal blog as of late but there was a time when blogging was an outlet I desperately needed; Blogging was therapy. In case you aren't familiar with my post, my name is NIKIVA DIONNE and I 'anniversarize' EVERYTHING, lol. But this one in particular is more than special. Biblically the number 8 signifies NEW BEGINNINGS and in perfect God fashion on 8/8/10 God called me into my NEW BEGINNING. I left my career and followed my purpose. I couldn't believe that all my life that small whisper was God calling me into my purpose. I had no idea, thank God He loved me through my ignorance and waited on me.
